BPAM BIRD ROUTE PAGE
The Alto Mayo Protection Forest Bird Route is a route composed of 8 bird watching points along this protected natural area, where more than 500 bird species can be observed, making it one of the most biodiverse protected areas in Peru and one of the most important destinations in the North-Amazonian corridor for bird tourism.
The route was born from the joint work between BPAM management and each of the bird watching centers, within the framework of Conservation Agreements: Arena Blanca Reserve, Fundo Alto Nieva, Llantería Birds, Royal Sunangel, and Urkuchaki Surveillance and Tourism Committee.
